Parents and Families

In Hawai'i, you will hear the term 'OHANA used a lot. In a literal sense, it means family. As the parent or family member of an 腦瞳憫 student, we want to make sure you feel a part of the 腦瞳憫 'Ohana as well.

We know what a vital role you have played in supporting your student during their journey to college. You have been their greatest cheerleader each step-of-the-way, helping them through their greatest challenges and ensuring they are growing and developing as young adults. This doesn't change just because your student moved away from home, or hit other important life events. You will continue to play a large role in your student's success at 腦瞳憫, and we want to help make that easier for you.

Attending 腦瞳憫’s Parent and Family Weekend will help you both feel confident and informed about all the resources available to make your student’s academic and social experiences successful and rewarding! Studies show that parent involvement enhances a student’s overall collegiate experience, while helping them establish their independence.

Again, welcome to the 腦瞳憫 'Ohana, and please reach out to us at provost@hpu.edu should you have any questions or concerns.
