¸£Àû¼§ will welcome students to its Las Vegas campus in August 2024.

¸£Àû¼§ is expanding beyond the Hawaiian Islands for the first time in University history by launching a Las Vegas campus. ¸£Àû¼§ will welcome students in August 2024. The University received the Nevada state licensure for their innovative and programs in August 2023. Both doctoral programs are completed in 24 months and delivered in a hybrid format that allows students to live anywhere in the country and attend lab immersions at the ¸£Àû¼§ Las Vegas campus.  

“¸£Àû¼§ is proud to announce this groundbreaking expansion beyond the Hawaiian Islands with the launch of our Las Vegas campus. It’s a testament to our nimble approach and commitment to innovation and our mission and values of aloha, pono, and kuleana,” ¸£Àû¼§ President John Gotanda said. “We appreciate the important ties and relationships we share with our ‘ohana in Las Vegas. This historic venture reflects our dedication to strengthening these connections. We’re eager to welcome our inaugural class in August 2024 and embark on this journey together to becoming a global university.”

The ¸£Àû¼§ Las Vegas campus is located in Southwestern Las Vegas, a 20-minute drive from Harry Reid International Airport. The campus offers ample parking in a comfortable, secure location, surrounded by numerous retail, hotel, and dining amenities. Students can benefit from the presence of dedicated ¸£Àû¼§ faculty and staff on-site. 

¸£Àû¼§ OTD Program Director, Robyn Otty, OTD, has a distinguished tenure of over 20 years in Las Vegas. She highlights Nevada's position as the highest-paid state in the U.S. for OTD professionals, positioning ¸£Àû¼§ Las Vegas as an exceptional choice for aspiring students. Otty expressed enthusiasm for the career opportunities that await graduates as they embark on high-demand, community-based practice positions after completing their OTD education. 

The new healthcare programs on the Las Vegas campus are housed in ¸£Àû¼§’s new Graduate College of Health Sciences that includes hybrid, accelerated DPT and OTD programs located on ¸£Àû¼§’s main Honolulu campus at Waterfront Plaza, as well as a hybrid that will launch in 2025, also located in Honolulu. 

“¸£Àû¼§'s expansion to Las Vegas marks an exciting step in addressing the critical need for skilled healthcare professionals, particularly in the occupational and physical therapy professions,” ¸£Àû¼§ Dean of the Graduate College of Health Sciences Tricia Catalino, D.Sc, said. “¸£Àû¼§'s presence in Las Vegas places us at the forefront of hybrid doctoral programs that will educate future healthcare professionals across the state. Our innovative approach to healthcare education will facilitate mentorship, comprehensive training, and valuable field work and clinical education opportunities.
