Local writer, journalist, and ¸£Àû¼§'s Graduate TESOL Certificate alumna Cheryl Chee Tsutsumi just published the second volume of "" (December 2024, Watermark Publishing). The book is a combination of recipes and rice-related stories contributed by local residents and chefs. Among them are two entries from the ¸£Àû¼§ TESOL ohana. ¸£Àû¼§ alumna Ryoko Tazawa (MA TESOL, 2011) reflects on her connections with her host family and now-wife while attending ¸£Àû¼§ in "Sharing Life and Love on My Family's Lānai." TESOL professor Hanh Nguyen remembers a sad event in her childhood in Vietnam, in "Heaping Bowls of Rice." The book is available on Amazon and at Watermark Publishing.
